The week started out cold and ended with some beautiful weather this Friday and Saturday and some beautiful fishing to go with it.  Yesterday, I estimate we caught 60-70 and today was more like 80-90.  That’s a whole lot of striper action.  I have this coming Monday open and the weather is going to be perfect.   Let’s get out on the water and have some fun.

The shad will be showing up in the next week or two.  Like last year, we’ll be taking advantage of all 3 rivers (Neuse, Tar, Roanoke) to consistently stay on the fish.  Each river has a unique flavor and offers a fantastic experience.  We had the best shad season ever last year and ran more shad trips than any previous year.  This is my favorite fishery of the year.  Don’t forget about our Double Header offering, where we fish the Tar in Rocky Mount for the American shad and the Roanoke in Weldon for the hickories in the same day.  It’s a fun day for sure.
