Fishing has really picked up this past week.  I apologize for the lack of reports.  Pulling off two 5-hour trips per day is

really a sun up to sun down day for me.  I don’t have much time to get on the computer in the evenings and type up a good report.  We’ve had some exceptional trips this past week.  Slower half days are producing 30-60 fish and better half days are in the 80-100+ range.  On one afternoon, I had the best topwater day I’ve ever had in Weldon.  The fish were up on top chasing bait all afternoon, so we took advantage of that by pretty much catching 3 at a time for 5 hours.  I was exhausted from netting and dehooking fish and my hands looked like a mangled mess at the end of the day.  We could have caught many more, but the limiting factor was getting the fish off and getting the bait back out there.  We probably had over 500 blowups on the plugs.  Unreal!

I still have the afternoon of May 5 open.  That’s the last opening of the 2016 season.  Get in on the action.

Here are some pics from our recent trips.  Enjoy!
