I’ve finally just about finished refurbishing my 1986 Beaver Boat build by Radcliffe Marine in Belhaven before they became Privateer Boats.  It will make an excellent charter boat for this area……roomy, dry, capable of handling rough open water but also very light tackle friendly.  I bought it back in the late spring.  We replaced the deck, modified an existing T-top to make an improvised flats tower over the console, installed my old motor, added a new steering system, new hardware, my old Lowrance GPS/Chartplotter, added a fiberglass dock box for seating and storage in the bow, fabricated a new leaning post (Thanks to my neighbor Aaron Hawsey at Hammerhead Metalworks in Bath), and wired the boat for a 24 volt Minnkota trolling motor with onboard battery charger.  The only thing I don’t like about the boat is that it’s too fast….LOL.

Needless to say I’ve been busy during my very infrequent days off.  I’m not the type of person who just lays around and rests during my down time.  All of this extra work I’ve been putting in this year is to accommodate additional business in 2015.  I want to earn your business, and I feel like we can deliver on what we’re offering.   My goal is for you to have the same experience that you would expect when fishing on my boat and we strive to exceed your expectations on every trip.  If the fishing is slow, we kick it into high gear and teach you about the area and its fishing. We do whatever it takes to make your experience unforgettable.   I have several overflow captains lined up who I know very well, have spent lots of time with on the water, and have hand picked for their abilities to deliver a memorable and professional experience to our customers.  With the additional boat, we’ll be able to take larger groups, expand our business, and show even more people the great fishing we have here on the Inner Banks.
