What a great day of fishing filming a segment for UNC-TV’s N.C. Weekend. Producer Clay, his buddy Craig, and camera magician Pete were my crew. We started out this morning with fog on the water and the initial morning bite was a bit slow with the cold night we had last night. We picked along catching a some specs and a small flounder. In the afternoon, we found the motherload and it was as good as I’ve seen it this spring. Just about every cast on various baits and just like you would dream it up with plenty of 17-19 inchers in the mix. We sat anchored up for a good couple of hours of consistent catching. Fun stuff……….the bite really fired off with this warming trend this afternoon. What a great day of fishing, and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to promote our area as a fishing destination! It certainly earned that designation this afternoon.
