Last week, we false albacore fished on 3 different days and fished the Pamlico for two days.  The albacore fishing has been good at the Cape and the trout, white perch, and striper fishing has been mostly good in the Pamlico.  Yesterday, we struggled a little up the river on the stripers but we still caught some fish.  The fish are definitely there.  Many of the fish are off the banks in deeper water, making locating them difficult if the signs aren’t there. If the signs are there and the birds make a showing in open water and the fish start busting bait, it can be epic.  The trout bite continues to be good downriver near the sound and it’s getting better and better each day in the creeks up the river.  The “November” transition, as I call it, has occurred, and everything is shaping up just how it should be for late fall fishing.

Next openings:  Dec. 6-9, 11-14, 18-22, 27-30  It’s not too early to book for the winter striper season.  We still have plenty of openings but it will fill up if you wait until the last minute to book.  Get your holiday gift certificates now!
