Looking Ahead to Mixed Bag Fishing on the Pamlico

Our 2020 spring season on the Roanoke River in Weldon is a wrap, and we are looking ahead to new fishing opportunities in late May and June.  We have many excellent options ahead of us.  Our speckled trout fishing will be fantastic all summer with a great crop of redfish in the lower slot range mixed in with our trout.  Also, for those still wanting stripers, we’ll be able to catch plenty of them in the Pamlico (many of topwater) and also on the lower Roanoke post spawn.  That fishing can be unbelievably good at times.  The first week of June has filled up; however, many openings remain.  With summer camps not being open this year, an excellent opportunity to get your kids outside is with a summer fishing trip.

Upcoming Open Dates:  June 11, 13, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25-27, 29-30  Let’s go fishing!
