Near the “titty” tree

……is where we caught them today, according to Mike.  Mike and Barb came down from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to experience what the Roanoke River has to offer.  Mike used to be a charter boat captain out of Crisfield, MD and is used to catching plenty of stripers in the Chesapeake Bay.  He was very impressed with our fishery and even commented that none of the rivers in the upper bay area experience the kind of numbers the Roanoke can produce.  I guess we do have about the best light tackle striper fishery on the Eastern seaboard.  Why don’t you come check it out for yourself?

I’m headed to Blowing Rock this weekend for a little family birthday weekend but will be back at it on Monday.  I don’t have any more openings this month.  Next open day is Apr. 2 for fishing on the lower end.

I will be starting my Weldon season on April 10.  Here are my openings as of now:

Apr. 11(am), 12, 14(pm), 15-18, 21(pm), 22(am), 25(pm), 27(am), 28
