There’s really nothing more that I can say about the striper fishing on the Pamlico that I haven’t already said over the past few weeks.  It’s very good and seems to only get better each day.  We aren’t even messing with the specs.  Why bother?  Dave and Carter had a blast catching some quality fish on topwater.  Lots of fish in the 16-17 inch range and a few keepers and slot sized fish (>22″) mixed in.  The fun thing about this fishing is that you just don’t know what sized fish your next bite will be.  You could hook a 7-10 pounder on any cast.  Those fish don’t tend to miss you bait on the first bite!  We will be going up to the Roanoke this week for the beginning of the annual spring spawning run in Weldon, and we can catch those fish on topwater as well.  I still have a few slots in April and May open, so call me at 252-945-9715 now to get in on the action!
