It’s the day after Christmas, and Capt. Scooter and I were feeling some withdrawal from not being on the water in a few days, so we headed out in search of some winter stripers on the lower Roanoke. After spending some time searching and checking several areas (and just little head scratching), we found the motherload, and it was on fire. We probably caught around 80 and quit because we got tired of catching them. Hopefully this bite will last a while, so let’s get on out there and enjoy the beautiful winter weather we are having and some of the best winter fishing North Carolina has to offer.
Upcoming open days: Dec. 31, Jan. 1-4, 6-9, 13-17
