Sunday Afternoon Summary – Weekly Report from Weldon

I know I sound like a broken record, but this past week has been nothing short of spectacular…lots of red hot fishing and great memories made.  We’ve had many many triple digit half day trips and most all of them have been on soft plastics.  This past Friday, I estimate that between my two trips, we caught between 300 and 350 fish on jigs.   This really has been the best season I can remember.  Flows were at 16k all week and starting yesterday (Sat), they dropped to 13k for this coming week.  Water temps are getting closer to spawning range, so the fish should begin spawning sometime this week.   I expect with not too much more rain in the upper basin, the flows might drop to below 10,000 by the end of this week.  If so, the topwater and jig bite below the ramp might get off the charts.  We’ll see.

I still have one opening:  May 13(pm slot).  Let me know if you want it.
