The wind and the moon has brought some great speckled trout fishing to the Outer Banks

The super moon and the howling Sou’wester that has set in for probably the rest of the summer has brought some world class speckled trout fishing to the Outer Banks.  Today we had some epic fishing bringing plenty of bigger trout.  Jay and Tim experienced some great fishing.  They are from Massachusetts and are intimately familiar with the summertime striper fishing they have off the beaches of Cape Cod.  Neither of them had never caught the “spotted sea trout” and had a great time catching trout for the first time.  After catching the best of the trout bite late morning, I took them over to a windblown marsh bank that was holding some redfish and they were able to both catch a their first.  Fun stuff!
