Unreal Speckled Trout Fishing in the Outer Banks

We pounded some shallow water shorelines in the early morning and caught some redfish under the popping corks.  Fun stuff for Danny and Derek from Pennsylvania.   Later in the morning we took advantage of the current ripping down the sound and found some nice speckled trout.  The conditions were perfect……..slick ca’m and lots of current.  It was so good I called my good buddy Vaughan to come check out the fishing.  He brought his dad Charlie, who smoked the giant reds with me last Sept. on the other side of the sound.  Charlie and Vaughan had a great afternoon catching some purdy speckles.  The wind kicked up a bit this afternoon and slowed the bite (compared to the late morning) but it was still quite good enough for a fun afternoon outing.
