Winter Striper Fishing Report-“Come a Knockin Cause the Lower Roanoke is Rockin”

A triple header........I had one hand on the trolling motor and one hand on the landing net for most of the day!

Alan, Walker, and Paul burned em up today catching around 50 stripers on jigs and a few on the fly.  We started out our morning with some immediate bites where we stopped and really started to get into them about an hour after beginning fishing with some great doubles and triples.  We were able to land a few fish on fly using 550 grain sinking line a clouser minnow pattern.  The weather was a brisk with not a cloud in the sky.  What a great way to spend a January day in one of the most beautiful places in North Carolina……..all while enjoying steady rod bending action. Call me at (252) 945-9715 to schedule your winter striper adventure.

Walker put his western trout guiding skills to work to land this January striper!

Paul and Walker with a double header!

Paul with a nice one and a nice smile!

A nice one indeed!
