The winter striper bite continues.  We were faced with some challenging weather in the early weeks of February with lots of wet and very cold days, but the weather has broken and we are seeing more seasonal air temps and some dryer weather for a change.  We’ve been having consistent success with the winter stripers.  Some trips are challenging and others are not.  We’ve seen a really nice class of fish this winter with lots of 22-27″ fish. The shad fishing is starting to get good with the rivers finally starting to drop.  There are some being caught now and the bite should really fire off as water levels continue to decrease in our coastal rivers.  I’m looking forward to a productive March with the shad and the pre-spawn stripers.
