You’ve heard me talk about the “Roanoke River Experience”, a term coined by my friend, Joe Albea; but you haven’t heard us talk a whole lot about the “Tar-Pam Experience” in terms of striper fishing. Jeremy and Sam “VanDam” were with me today, and we caught a bunch of stripers. We easily had our limit of keepers and caught lots and lots of throwbacks as well as the fish of the day, which was a 25 incher we released to go spawn up the river near Tarboro and Rocky Mount. Sam “VanDam”, hence the nickname, caught quite a few nice largemouth to round out the Tar-Pamlico River Experience.
