Scott Griffin and crew had a great afternoon catching around 15 stripers.  By no means is this red hot fishing by Weldon standards but all the new anglers got a real introduction to striper fishing in North Carolina with plenty of action with some nice keepers and a handful of slot fish.  We fished downriver and picked along at them close to the banks while doing several long, slow drifts.  They were hearing dinner bells and wanted to get back early for some eating, so after I dropped them off, I checked out the topwater bite during the last hour of the day and caught 10 by myself!  Fun stuff!
