April 28 Roanoke River Striper Fishing Report

The D’Alton boys did it again this year on their return trip to the Roanoke.  Once again Jim proved to be the master of drinking a Miller Lite with one hand a reeling in a rockfish with the other, but his son Berkeley had the hot hand with most of the fish releases and a really nice 28.5 incher.  What a great fish!  The numbers were by no means what they got accustomed to last year (they really burned em up in 2011) but they got their fill and were able to take home a pile of meat just a couple of days before the keeper season closes.

I have this Sat. afternoon (May 5th) open as well as Wed afternoon (May 9th) and the next Sat. afternoon (May 12th) and May 13th (am and pm) open if you want to get in on the action before the season starts winding down.
