Beginning this year, instead of fishing the Outer Banks for the summer, we will be offering all of our summer trips closer to home on the Pamlico and Pungo Rivers and their tributaries. We’re excited about taking advantage of this fishery this time of year. We’ll be targeting puppy drum, flounder, speckled trout, and striped bass on light tackle as well as some of the early giant red drum in June and July. We’ll also be doing quite a bit of fishing out in the sound to mix it up a bit with gray trout, reef and wreck species such as sheepshead and spadefish, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and others. If you desire some of the best light tackle variety and also the chance at consistently catching some adult red drum on popping corks rigs in some of North Carolina’s most remote and scenic waters without any other boats around, then you need to book a summer trip with us.
Here are a few openings for June and July:
June 2, 3, 8-10, 12-13, 22-27
July 2-3, 6-8, 10-11, 13-17
