We had a great time down in Charleston this past weekend at the Southeastern Wildlife Expo. Other than experiencing a great city and some good eating, I learned that the redfish is pretty much king down there. They are crazy about catching some “spottails” down there, and they have some really good fishing thanks to some conservation measures that the state put in place years ago.
I had to reschedule my charter today, as we would have been a bit challenged with the Gale Force winds forecasted for the Albemarle Sound. We are fortunate to be able to fish in some pretty strong winds up in the rivers during the winter; however, too much is too much and the fun factor starts to dramatically decline if it’s too windy. I’ll be fishing up there later in the week, so stay tuned for some reports on the striper fishing.
