December Seminar: Knots and Rigging
This workshop will be a little different from most of the others. We are going to cover all the knots and rigging techiques you’ll need to know to fish our area. This will include light tackle and rigging for bigger fish such as tarpon and giant red drum (including the popping cork rig). We will actually tie knots together and setup rods the proper way using real line and leaders. I’ll also teach you how to properly crimp monofilament and by making some of your own Owen Lupton drum rigs. We’ll also make some live bait rigs and discuss in depth the often nebulous issue of color choices in artificial bait fishing. This seminar is all about what’s on the end of the line so you’ll have complete confidence in landing any fish.
