Yesterday was as good as it gets. We sat in one spot all afternoon. We got to our spot, threw the first cast (and caught one on the first cast), and caught fish almost every other cast for five hours…..Ross on the fly rod on one side of the boat and Jim throwing the Z-Man on the other side on a spinning rod. We were worn out. Then we stayed to take part in the late evening topwater bite. Every cast again. Today was a little different. They dropped the water some more during the morning, and let’s just say the fish needed a little time to “adjust”. We still didn’t do too bad by any other standards. This afternoon, it was getting back on track. Should be a great day tomorrow. We’ve landing some really nice fish on fly lately. Here are some pictures.
I still have the afternoon of Tuesday, May 19th open. Any takers for the best fishing of the season? Topwater? Fly? Jig? Live Bait? You can choose one or all.
