The striper bite in the river continues to be outstanding. This past week, we’ve been catching 50-100+ stripers/trip for those who just wanted to catch fish and have fun. Many of those bites are on top. It was so good that we caught 2 fish on one bait two days in a row. That doesn’t happen too often.
For those looking for more variety and a few fish for the cooler, the mixed bag fishing remains steady downriver. Yesterday on our morning 1/2 day, we caught redfish, speckled trout, flounder, all with some keepers and undersized fish to pad our numbers a little. Back at it again tomorrow with some mixed bag action.
