Mike and Justin caught around 50 fish this morning before 11:00 a.m. When they started, there was a light drizzle on the water, but the fish didn’t seem to mind as the live bait was doing the trick. After fishing for a while, I threw a fluke out as a test cast, and I hooked one on the first cast. After seeing how much fun it is to catch one on an artificial bait, the fellas were hooked. We continued to catch them well on artificials and switched back to live bait at the end of the day. The sun finally popped out and a great time was had by all. I probably should have been in church, but sometimes I feel like the Roanoke River is a good substitute! Call now to get in on the action this month before it’s over for the year. I have just a few days left in May.
