This was what we kept from our morning trip.  We probably had 40-50 fish, mostly on topwater.  The topwater bite in the early morning was nothing short of fantastic.  In the afternoon, we switched gears and ventured out in the ocean in search of some big drum that have been reported off the beach. I had some expert help from Reel Deal and Desperado.  We caught them up on top as a nice school passed across our bow showing their copper backs.  Pretty cool!  These guys, along with some of the really big ones, are filtering through the inlets as we speak to meet up with us on the other side of the sound.  Get ready………..drum season is almost here.  Drop me a line to arrange your trip for these bigguns out of River Dunes in Oriental.
