Lower Roanoke River Winter Striper Trips!

We had a really good show at the Raleigh Bass and Saltwater Fishing Expo.  Thanks for everyone who stopped by the booth.  It was a pleasure meeting all of you! Stay in touch and keep checking our updated fishing reports to see our year-round catch on the beautiful Inner Banks!  Also check out the official Tar-Pam Guide Service Facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/tarpamguide.

I am heading out this week to verify that the stripers are all in their typical winter locations on the Lower Roanoke/3 Sisters area near Plymouth.  For any of you that are unfamiliar with this fishery, it is absolutely second to none.  This is the best and most consistent winter fishery in North Carolina.  You’ve probably heard of the excellent winter striper fishing on the Pamlico around Washington and the on the Neuse around New Bern, but this is a totally different deal.  Most of these fish are the ones that head up the river to Weldon in early April to spawn, so you can imagine the numbers.  On our best day last year with just myself and one other angler on the boat, we stopped counting at 250 and easily caught over 300…….all casting artificial baits on med-light action spinning rods.  It just doesn’t get any better, especially for the dead of winter!

Give me a call at (252) 945-9715 to book a charter.  I have a few days left in Jan, a few more in Feb, and many in March.  It’s a heck of alot of fun.
