I’ve been at the Carolina Outdoor Expo for the past 3 days. Joe Albea put on a good one this year. We saw some old friends and met some new ones. Last week, striper fishing in the river was excellent with 30-80 fish days. I hosted great friends Nathan and Greg as well as Wildlife Commissioners John Coley and Tom Berry. It was a pleasure to show them our winter fishery on the Tar River. As I write this, I’m heading up to the Roanoke in a few minutes to check out what’s going on. I’ll report back on what we find.
