We’ve been catching tons of small trout with some keepers in the mix and some scattered puppy drum and flounder down on the lower end of the river and out in the sound. The fishing should remain this way for another week or two. When we get another couple of strong cold fronts, the trout should push up the river into the creeks and it will be game on. The striper bite is also picking up and it should be game on in just a matter of days. Let’s go fishing……..things have finally started to slow a bit, so I have plenty of openings over the coming weeks and the fishing will be great. Some of the best trout and striper fishing in the Pamlico is in November and December. Pick a date and give me a call. Some of these will get filled.
