We spent the entire day chasing some tar”poons” today. Got on a nice school this morning while it was slick calm. They wouldn’t eat and a squall forced us to relocate. We eventually got a bite late in the day after we relocated. The fish jumped one time and out came the hook. 12 hours of fishing and 3 seconds of sheer excitement. That’s just how it goes sometimes. Gotta persevere. Yesterday we fished around a whole bunch of fish out in the sound and they weren’t really feeding either, at least not while I was there.
