I received this picture from the Wotring’s outing this past November.  Conditions were tough.  The wind was howling and it was really cold for these young anglers, Meredith and Wes, but they were troopers and hung in there to catch their first stripers.

I think they might try a spring Roanoke River striper trip in Weldon.  These trips are the absolute best for inexperienced or younger anglers.  The spring fishery in Weldon is so wonderful because those fish can be caught some many different ways……..on live bait, cut bait, casting artificials using conventional tackle, or casting the fly.  If you are interested in one of these trips, we will be there from when the fish show up at the beginning of April to when they leave in the middle of May.  Book early to get prime dates!
