Capt. Joey needs a crew for Friday (am or pm). Fishing is going off. Let’s get it on!
Capt. Joey and I both had some great jig fishing today. On my boat alone, we caught over 100 fish on plastics today. Troy and Suzanne had a great trip and introduction to the Roanoke this morning. Daniel, Paul, and Dennis are all Roanoke River veterans and got the job done this afternoon. The water level has been perfect for fishing artificials. 8200 cfs (a nice medium level) and a nice clear green. It looks like beautiful tailrace waters. That might change tomorrow with all this rain falling tonight. They are also cranking the water up to 10,000 cfs starting Thursday. This might change the game a little, but with some minor adjustments, we should be fine. I’m looking forward to the rest of the week. The fish are here and where they should be.
My final opening of the 2015 Season:
May 13(pm), 18, 19(pm), 20(am)
