I had Doug Barnes from Ellensburg, Washington and his daughter Carrie from our very own Durham on the boat today and they had some great father/daughter time catching Roanoke River striped bass. We ended up with some nice keeper fish, some throwbacks, and quite a few catfish. They took home two big bags of rockfish and catfish fillets. Casting artificials was slow, but I deployed the cut bait and the rod tips started to bend over. We had a great day.
