Team Barnhill got it done this afternoon in short order on the Roanoke River.  Edward, Jake, and Rob stayed busy all afternoon ripping lips as the young guns experienced some excellent fishing.  Jake and Edward picked up the live bait technique like pros.  Now they are seasoned veterans on the Roanoke and will surely be bugging their fathers to take them fishing at every chance.  Spring striper fishing on the Roanoke is a great fishery for introducing young anglers to the sport.  Bring your sons and daughters for an action packed day in a beautiful setting.  In May, the trees along the banks are in full leaf, with many shades of deep green contrasting the clear, light green tailrace water below the dam.  The upper river is truly a beautiful place in the spring.
