This season on the Pamlico is shaping up to be a good year for slot drum fishing. These guys should be an excellent bonus to our flounder trips and giant red combo trips, where target the giant reds for a few hours in the morning and then go light tackle fishing later in the morning.
Conditions were challenging yesterday with all the SW wind; however, we made the best of them. Kip and Elaine caught some nice slot drum and we had trout, flounder, and small stripers to round out the catch. Let’s hope for better conditions as we head out tomorrow. The fish are there and waiting for us.
