These Jacksonville boys had an excellent time today mixing up the big fish and smaller fish fishing, which is typically something we don’t do too often; however, today the conditions forced us into the creek and we were able to adjust.    We started out early in the morning out in the Neuse River tossing the corks for the big reds.  After about 20 or 30 minutes, we caught 2 fish within five minutes.  Then the 20-25 knot NE wind came, so we decided we would go into the creek and catch a mixed bag.  We had steady action on rat reds, slot reds, and a few trout.  What a great variety…………world class angling for giant reds and a mixed bag on light tackle.
