While we were at the Raleigh Saltwater Fishing Expo last weekend, I’ve heard excellent reports for striper and speckled trout fishing on the Pamlico River as well as excellent numbers of stripers in the Western Albemarle Sound and 3 Sisters Area. The full moon on Sunday must have turned the trout bite on here close to home. I’m heading up to the Roanoke area to check things out so stay tuned for an updated report on what I find.
