I carried Jo Ann Rose and her father Joe rockfishing on Saturday, and we had a great day on the water. We ended up with about 30 fish, some of which were in the 23-24″ range. It was a really pretty day with quite a few fish still around. There were more boats than I have seen all winter, so word must have gotten out. I think the added pressure has made these fish more difficult to catch, but if you are willing to work hard, like Jo Ann and Joe did, then the results will exceed your expectations. A good time was had by all. Check out the photos below, and come get in on some excellent winter fishing in Eastern NC, god’s country.
