Today the Kendall’s had an action-packed morning of fishing. We started out the morning catching about 40 speckled trout in one of the areas we caught them yesterday. We had some quality action, but we couldn’t manage any keeper trout. These guys were too concerned with keeping fish anyway. They just wanted to catch some fish and enjoy a nice day on the water. To mix up the action, the experience, the technique, and the scenery a bit, I recommended chasing after some white perch. It turned out to be a great move. We broke out the ultralights and ended up catching around 40 of them in just about an hour and a half. They kept 20 and are having a fish fry tomorrow night. I told them that there are two ways to cook those perch: “Fry them or mess them up.”
