Weather, Weather, Weather

Last week, the weather got us. I had 4 trips booked and couldn’t make any of them due to sub-freezing conditions, ice, snow, etc. We pride ourselves on being hard chargers in the winter because on most marginal weather days, we still do really well and catch alot of fish, which offsets the weather. There is a point at which the weather gets so bad in the winter that being outside in it can take away most of the fun in catching lots of fish. Although the bite remains steady right through Feb, this month is when we typically see our worst winter weather and most severe winter fronts. I have difficulty logging in lots of days on the water in Feb. even though I’d like to be fishing about 4-6 days/week.

We’ll be back out there tomorrow either way, so stay tuned for an updated report tomorrow night on our winter striper fishing.
