Leavy and Edward had an excellent day on the water today. They have been winter striper fishing with me before and were well versed in feeling the bite. I bet we caught at least 80 fish, throwing lots of keeper sized and 22+ inchers back. The fish we caught we a mixed age class consisting of undersized 10-18″ fish, plenty of keeper sized fish in the 18-22″ range, and some fish over 22″. That to me indicates a healthy stock and all the smaller fish (not just where I’m fishing but all over the estuary) means we’ll have some stellar fishing the next few years.
