The winter striper bite on the lower Roanoke has been nothing short of fantastic the last week. We’ve had several triple digit days and are finding plenty of fish to make for a memorable winter fishing experience in one of the most beautiful settings in coastal NC. Here are a few pictures from recent trips. I have just a few open dates left between now and the third week of April when I go to Weldon. Those dates are: Feb. 9 and 16. For Weldon, the only slots left are April 26(am), 29(pm), May 5(am), May 11(pm). Get them while you can. If none of those dates work, I can get you on the boat with Capt. Hurley. He has more open dates and would love to put you on some winter stripers on the lower Roanoke/Tar, shad in the Tar or Roanoke, or spring stripers on the Roanoke in Weldon.
