Flounder Pounding

I took Ashley and John from the Washington Daily News and one of my regular customers, Jeff, on the Pamlico River for some light tackle fishing this morning. Tar-Pam Guide Service will be featured in the upcoming edition of Washington The Magazine, so check us out and read about our day and what we have to offer throughout the year. We started out pretty slow and it took us a while to locate some fish, but once we did, boy oh boy were we in the flounder. We were getting em steady every few casts and ended up with around 30 or so (9 keepers). The boys started running short on time and had to get back but we could have stayed and filled a 4 person limit. Flounder for dinner tonight!

If you want to experience some awesome summer light tackle fishing where you could catch several quality saltwater species on light tackle in a single outing, then give us a call this summer. I’ll be fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center on the Outer Banks, but I’ll have several local guides ready for action on the Pamlico. The Inner Banks has just as many fish but a whole lot less people. On many days in the summer, you won’t see another boat on the water.

I have next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday open for some of this and maybe some speckled trout catch and release (season is out) and some redfish!
