Greg, his dad, and his younger brother had some excellent fishing this morning with one of best early morning striper bites I’ve seen in a few days. We were getting fairly steady bites all morning from 6 a.m. all the way up to about 9………with mostly 20-26″ fish. They weren’t messing around either, hitting our spooks repeatedly in an aggressive feeding mode. I knew the fish were there when I pulled up to my spot and the gar were rolling around feeding on small bay anchovies. The stripers almost fooled us as they didn’t bite until about the 10th cast. After a little convincing………..kinda like casting a fly over a mountain trout to get him to finally rise and take the bait, we actually coerced them into a feeding frenzy. Amazing!
