The water conditions have been less favorable in the last couple of days, so I’ve seen a gradual decline in the abundance of fish. As conditions become less favorable and the longer they stay that way, the fish start to break up into smaller schools and go on the move because they don’t have prime feeding conditions and don’t school in great numbers. They are harder to find. Despite this, Ray, Ed, and Rhett beat out around 40 or so yesterday, and Bill, Tom, and Rick released around 30 today. We had to did a little deeper and put in a little extra effort, but it all paid off. Where else can you have a 30-40 fish day when conditions aren’t “ideal”? What a fishery!
