The last 3 Days: Motrin Needed

I guess I’m doing my job if my clients get physically exhausted from catching fish?

Joe, Jimmy, and John looked at me this afternoon near the end of our trip and said they would need lots of Motrin tonight to help their ailing arms and hands that were sore from catching so many stripers today. I think the guys got a real eye opening first experience on the Roanoke River. The fish just kept coming and coming and coming. Lots of action is an understatement. We had a blast and I have a bad case of striper thumb (actually thumbs). You know it’s bad when the skin is rubbed off the top of your thumb, too.

Lou and Steve are seasoned Weldon anglers and are no strangers to the Roanoke River. They had me booked this past Friday and Saturday and we didn’t do too shabby on those days either. On Friday, we caught fish just about everywhere we stopped, just not finding a big school. On Saturday, conditions changed a little for the better, and we found em schooled up in one spot, putting a real hurtin on them. Steve is no slouch with the fly rod, as he’s fished the 4 corners of the globe and did a great job catching some quality fish on the fly…..making it look easier than it is.

Let’s go. I have Tuesday and Thursday open this week.
