March Seminar: Spring and Summer Pamlico Light Tackle Fishing
In this workshop, you will learn how to target fish in the Pamlico Estuary in the spring and dog days of summer. You’ll get a better understanding of the differences between the spring and summer fishing, the transition between the two seasons, tactics for each time period, and an understanding of how to target and catch other species besides speckled trout, puppy drum, flounder, and striped bass. The Pamlico Sound is host to an abundant variety of other fun fish to catch including spadefish, sheepshead, grey trout, tautogs, bluefish, spanish mackerel, black drum, croaker, spot, white perch, and more. Learn how to find all of these by locating their preferred habitat and what baits to use in particular situations. This is a diverse fishery throughout the year and being versatile and knowing various tactics will enable you to consistently produce fish in a variety of conditions in the spring and summer.
