250 FISH DAY! Today was one of the best days of rockfishing I’ve ever had, period. We found a big school of fish and managed to stay on them all day. Matt Carr stopped at 125. I caught about 110 only because I had to run the trolling motor (Ha!) Jordan Blount joined us late in the afternoon and caught a quick 20 or so. We worked them over pretty well to give us a total of around 250 fish for the day. To catch and release many more fish than that in a day is difficult. You simply can’t let them go fast enough to keep pace. This is some of the most incredible light tackle fishing in North Carolina and we are LESS THAN TWO HOURS FROM RALEIGH!
