Here are a few pictures from our charters this past week. We’ve been catching good numbers of trout and stripers and some flounders and reds mixed in. The flounder bite is picking up, and we’re exciting for a great summer season on the flatfish.
Upcoming openings: June 26, 27
Although I have no pictures from the trip, we had a great trip to Lake Phelps last week, catching a half dozen or so largemouth on topwater popping bugs on the fly as well as 150 or so nice pumpkinseed bream on our 3 weights. What a great day!
We’ve had some great days with the mixed bag on fly lately. This fishery has enormous potential as a fly fishery. You can venture out and practice your casting skills throwing sink tip lines in 3-7 feet of water while catching a variety of saltwater species. There are not very many places in the summer where you can catch this many saltwater fish on fly during the summer months. Come book your next fly fishing adventure here on the Inner Banks.
