Roanoke River Fishing Report

We caught an excellent variety of freshwater fish today on the Lower Roanoke River. We ended up with some keeper and throwback stripers, a couple of which were nice and girthy, a nice bucketmouth that any tournament angler would love to have in the livewell, and a handful of crappie (locally known as speckled perch). Things are about to bust loose here on the Roanoke. We are getting ready for the big schools to start pushing through. The sound is still full of stripers. Call to get in on some great weather and fishing!
