Here are a couple of emails received from my customers over the past couple of weeks. Receiving feedback like this really makes my job rewarding, as if I don’t already love it enough. Here’s my advice to you if you are unhappy and don’t like your job: Take the bull by the horns and make a change. You’ll never look back or regret it. Life is short. Enjoy every day! That’s what I’m doing right now. We’ve been pinned to the dock this week with this relentless storm passing off our coast, and we’ve had to reschedule a bunch of trips. Oh well……..I’m at the beach and was lucky enough to watch Sam Bush perform last night in Manteo. Pretty awesome!
From Don, who has fished with alot of guides and fished with me for 4 days during drum season:
“Rich if you would be so kind as to send any pictures of our time with you that would be good. I would like to say our time with you as our guide was one of three trips where we thought our guide did a good job. Your work ethic is a good one and you have the right attitude to be a good guide. I will recommend you to any one who asks me for a good guide. Thank you again for a good trip and a fun time.”
This one if from Mac, who was very excited and vocal the first day. On the second day, let’s just say he was a bit more reserved due to a bad case of the flu or some variation thereof caused by the virus Budweiserus Moonshinus.
“Just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for the fun filled two days of fishing we just had with you. I do hope you realize that on the day I was talking, the hard time I was giving you was all in good fun. You are a fantastic guide, and have always managed to find the fish when we have been on your boat. Thanks again, and we will see you for the stripers on the lower Roanoke. Talk to ya soon!”
