Striper Report for the Pamlico River

The fishing has slowed a bit due to the fall in the water levels after the big “Sou’west” blow last Thursday, but we managed to squeeze out a respectable catch with some fish large enough for the dinner plate. The stripers have been holding tight to structure along the banks, but just like largemouth bass, when the water level drops, the stripers move off the banks and into deeper water. They become much more difficult to find when that happens. Jeff and John had a good time exploring the area and catching some Pamlico River Striped Bass.
